Local Facilities

Mojstrana has much to offer, not least because it is small and quiet.  In the winter, it has its own nursery ski-slope (with lift), and next door is an ice rink.  In the summer, the popular Vrata valley leads up from the village into the mountains, past a wonderful waterfall (which you can actually walk behind), before finishing at the bottom of Mount Triglav (good for climbing) – the highest mountain in Slovenia.

More practically, Mojstrana has a supermarket, a post office and its own tourist information centre. If you wish to get around without a car Mojstrana is on the main bus route from Kranjska Gora to Jesenice, or you can cycle from one to the other on the off-road pathway.  A local park, complete with pond and streams, is a perfect spot for picnicking, though there’s also a choice of reasonably-priced bars and restaurants available within easy walking distance of the apartment.
